Kosherkart App Privacy Policy

We have aspired to build our business with a set of strong privacy practices in mind. This agreement sets the terms of your use of the Kosherkart mobile app and website and services we provide (“Services”).
This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains our privacy practices, in other words what information we collect and how this affects you. We also explain the steps we take to protect your privacy. The Privacy Policy applies to the Kosherkart app and website (collectively, the “Sites”). It does not apply to other companies’ or organizations’ websites to which we link or that may be accessible through the Sites. Please be aware that we have no control over such third party websites. If you leave our Sites and visit another website, you do so at your own risk. (For this reason, you should carefully review the privacy policies of those websites in order to determine how they treat your personal information.) When we say “Kosherkart,” “our,” “we,” or “us,” we are talking about Kosherkart, LLC, a Delaware Limited Liability Company.
The Privacy Policy applies to our Sites, services, features, software, and website (together, “Services”) unless specified otherwise. Kosherkart receives or collects information when we operate and provide our Services, including when you install, access, or use our Services. When you use our Services, we collect information about you in the following general categories:
Location: we may collect location data about your location from sources like your web IP address or your mobile phone’s location services. If you permit us to access location services through the permission system used by your mobile operating system, we may collect the precise location of your device when the app is running in the foreground or background. We do this to provide you with a more helpful and relevant user experience.
Photo Library Access: The app may require access to the photo library to support chat features.
Tracking Usage: This identifier may be used to deliver personalized ads to you. "Ask app not to track" will limit our ability to deliver relevant ads to you but will not reduce the number of ads you receive.
Account Information: You will be asked to provide your mobile phone number and email address to create a Kosherkart account. You may provide us with personal information that can be updated on a regular basis if applicable. You confirm you are authorized to provide us with such information. You may correct or otherwise update or modify your account information at any time by logging into your online or in-app account.
Usage and Log Information. We collect service-related, diagnostic, and performance information. This includes information about your activity (such as how you use our Services), log files, and diagnostic, crash, website, and performance logs and reports.
Customer Support: You may provide us with information related to your use of our Services, including copies of your messages, and how to contact you so we can provide you customer support. For example, you may send us an email with information relating to our app performance or other issues, or to ask any questions you may have regarding our Services.
Device and Connection Information. We may collect device-specific information when you install, access, or use our Services. This includes information such as hardware model, operating system information, browser information, IP address, mobile network information including phone number, and device identifiers. We collect device location information if you use our location features and for diagnostics and troubleshooting purposes such as if you are having trouble with our app’s location features.
We collect information about when and how you and other site visitors interact with our Service, in order to learn more about your needs and preferences so we can continue to build a better, more helpful product for you. In some cases we may do this through the use of cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies that create and maintain unique identifiers, such as Google Analytics. For clarity, cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive by a website. We may use both session cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience throughout the Service. Through our applications and third-party analytics tools we rely on, we may collect information about your mobile or desktop device, including, for example, the hardware model, operating system and version, software and file names and versions, preferred language, unique device identifier, advertising identifiers, serial number, device motion information, and other network information.
Most web browsers and mobile devices (such as Google Android or Apple iOS) define certain types of data that apps cannot access without your consent. These platforms have different permission systems for obtaining your consent. If you do not wish to share specific elements or areas of your data with us, please configure your device and/or browser settings accordingly, and/or do not opt into providing it to us, if we request it via a settings option or mobile push notification.
We may use the information we collect about you to provide, maintain, and improve our Services, including, for example, to provide products and services you request (and send related information), develop new features, provide customer support, authenticate users, send product updates and administrative messages perform internal operations, including, for example, to prevent fraud, to troubleshoot software bugs and operational problems; to conduct data analysis, testing, and research; and to monitor and analyze usage and activity trends, send or facilitate communications, and personalize and improve the Services, including to provide or recommend features, content or products.
We may collect, use, preserve, and share your information if we have a good-faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond pursuant to applicable law or regulations, to legal process, or to government requests; (b) enforce our Terms and any other applicable terms and policies, including for investigations of potential violations; or (c) detect, investigate, prevent, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues.
All of our rights and obligations under our Privacy Policy are freely assignable by us to any of our affiliates, in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, or by operation of law or otherwise, and we may transfer your information to any of our affiliates, successor entities, or new owner.
We may transfer some of the information described in this Policy to (as well as process and store it) in the United States and other countries, some of which may have less protective data protection laws than the region in which you reside. Where this is the case, we’ll take appropriate measures to protect your personal information in accordance with this Policy.
We may share the information we collect about you as described in this policy or as described at the time of collection or sharing, including as follows:
Between you and organizations as necessary in connection with the Services, for example, we may share your name and contact information with third party delivery companies or others to provide you services you requested through a partnership or promotional offering made by a third party or us; or with the general public if you submit content in a public forum, such as blog comments, social media posts, or other features of our Services that are viewable by the general public; with third parties with whom you choose to let us share information, for example other apps or websites that integrate with our API or Services, or those with an API or Service with which we integrate; With Kosherkart affiliated entities that provide services or conduct data processing on our behalf, or for data centralization and/or logistics purposes; With vendors, consultants, marketing partners, and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf; In response to a request for information by a competent authority if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or is otherwise required by, any applicable law, regulation, or legal process; With law enforcement officials, government authorities, or other third parties if we believe your actions are inconsistent with our Terms of Use or other policies, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Kosherkart or others; and in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by or into another company.
Kosherkart may, from time to time, contain links to other sites. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those sites, or the information or content they contain. We encourage our users to be aware of this fact and to read the privacy statements of any website that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by Kosherkart through our sites and does not apply to any third-party websites linked. For clarity, we are not responsible for the practices employed by any websites or services linked to or from our Service, including the information or content contained within them. Please remember that when you use a link to go from our Service to another website or service, our Policy does not apply to those third-party websites or services. Your browsing and interaction on any third-party website or service, including those that have a link on our Service, are subject to that third party’s own rules and policies. In addition, you agree that we are not responsible and do not have control over any third-parties that you authorize to access your user content. If you are using a third-party website or service and you allow them to access your user content, you do so at your own risk.
We may change this Policy from time to time, at our sole discretion. Your continued use of the Services after such notice constitutes your consent to the changes. We encourage you to periodically review the Privacy Policy for the latest information on our privacy practices.
